Internal hemroids are hemroids that are located inside the anal canal above the anus, so they are not appearing externally. Internal hemroids are caused by swelling of the internal hemorrhoidal veins.
The main complaint in internal hemroids is anal bleeding which is usually painless, unless prolapse through the anus occurs.
